14th Apparel Supply Industry Conference Held at Istanbul Nişantaşı University
The 14th Garment Supply Industry Conference, held on 9–10 June 2026, brought together academics, students, and industry representatives to discuss production, sustainability, innovation, and careers.
The 14th Apparel Supply Industry Conference, organized jointly by Istanbul Nişantaşı University’s Department of Textile and Fashion Design and the Apparel Supply Industrialists Association (KYSD), brought together leading industry representatives, academics and students on June 9–10, 2026.
The two-day conference offered important assessments of current developments in textiles and ready-to-wear clothing, production processes, supply industry practices, sustainability, innovation and strategies for the industry’s future.
Sessions were moderated by Istanbul Nişantaşı University Assistant Professors Nursen Geyik Değerli, Gül Özkan and Bahar Yıldız. Bringing academia and industry representatives together, the event enabled students to learn about different areas of the textile supply industry directly from professionals.
Representatives from NYN Askı, Doğuş Askı, Ar-teks Dar Dokuma, Özel Kurdele, Gür Aksesuar, Polsan Düğme, Form Düğme, Ata İmalat, Trend Etiket, Yenel Etiket, Akbarkod, EMR Fermuar, ECE Fermuar, Fermas Fermuar, Menderes Tekstil and Telasis Tekstil met participants.
An important outcome of the long-standing university–industry collaboration between the Department of Textile and Fashion Design and KYSD, the conference helped students reinforce theoretical knowledge with industry experience, develop professional networks and plan their careers.
