Together for a Sustainable Future

At Istanbul Nişantaşı University, we regard sustainability as a fundamental area of responsibility encompassing all aspects of our education, research, societal contribution, and institutional governance processes. We believe that universities are key actors not only in generating and disseminating knowledge but also in leading the way toward a more equitable, inclusive, and sustainable future.

In line with this vision, we carry out our activities in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We aim to make tangible and measurable contributions across various areas, ranging from quality education and social equality to environmental sustainability, climate action, innovation, and strong partnerships.

We are committed to fostering a culture of sustainability through our educational programs, scientific research, projects undertaken by our students and academics, community engagement activities, and campus initiatives. While further developing this approach through national and international collaborations, we actively encourage the participation of our students, academic and administrative staff, and external stakeholders.

Our sustainability initiatives are coordinated by Sustainability Coordinator Nazlı Kazanoğlu and the International Rankings Coordination Office, comprising Selcen Altınbaş Umut, Emine Abanoz, Ömer Burak Yel, and Begüm Akdeniz.

We consider sustainability a shared responsibility toward future generations and strive to transform our capacity for knowledge creation and innovation into meaningful social and environmental benefits. Through this platform, we bring together the projects, research, policies, events, and developments related to our university's sustainability performance, highlighting our ongoing contributions toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
