Chemical engineer Çeşminaz Kavlak met students at the event “Scientific Approaches: The Chemistry of Pharmacy Products,” organized by the Pharmacy Services Program at Istanbul Nişantaşı University’s Vocational School of Health Services.
The event examined in detail the chemical components, formulations and pharmaceutical effects of dermocosmetic and compounded products commonly encountered in pharmacies. The functions of active ingredients and excipients, and their roles in product stability, effectiveness and safety, were explained clearly and accessibly.
Moderated by Lecturer Dr. Doruk Akdoğan, Head of the Pharmacy Services Program, the event helped connect theoretical knowledge with professional practice.
