COST Actions Information Meeting Held

TÜBİTAK’s Murat Tıltak explained COST research networks and application processes, informing academics about cooperation, scientific visits, and support for networking activities.
The “COST Actions Information Meeting,” organised in cooperation with TÜBİTAK at İstanbul Nişantaşı University NeoTech Campus, featured Murat Tıltak from TÜBİTAK’s International Cooperation Department. The meeting covered details of the COST programme, application procedures and opportunities for our researchers.
Highlighting COST’s networking support for multidisciplinary research, Murat Tıltak emphasised the programme’s importance in facilitating collaboration and project development. He explained that COST does not provide a research and development budget, supporting networking activities only. He also provided detailed information on joining existing actions and proposing new ones.
Noting that Türkiye is one of COST’s founding members, Tıltak explained that the programme enables Turkish scientists to work with Europe’s leading researchers. He identified completing application forms and preparing letters of support when required as critical steps. The meeting also covered participation types supported by TÜBİTAK, short-term scientific visits, Inclusiveness Target Countries (ITC) conferences and the management structures of COST actions.
The meeting concluded with questions about COST and an exchange of ideas with our academics.
