Turkish and Japanese Aesthetic Traditions Meet Through Art, Culture and Brand Identity

Istanbul Nişantaşı University hosted a special meeting approaching art, culture and brand identity from an interdisciplinary perspective. Artist Günseli Kato, who brings Turkish and Japanese aesthetic traditions together in miniature and contemporary art, shared her knowledge and experience.

The event explored artistic production, cultural identity, aesthetic narrative and personal branding, examining how artistic traditions from different cultures can be interpreted through contemporary art. Discussing Turkish and Japanese aesthetics together created a setting for making intangible cultural heritage visible through artistic production and intercultural interaction.

Participants explored art as a powerful communication tool that transmits cultural identity and enables interaction between aesthetic traditions, alongside its role as a form of expression. The event helped participants assess the relationship between art, cultural heritage, aesthetic narrative and brand identity from an interdisciplinary perspective.

We thank Günseli Kato for her participation and valuable contributions and all participants for their interest.
