Istanbul Nişantaşı University’s Technology Transfer Office (TTO), Vocational School Aircraft Technology Program and Technology Transfer Club jointly held “A Guest in Class,” bringing students together with industry professionals.
SHGM/EASA B1.1 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Technician and Electrical and Electronics Engineer Batuhan Cüce was the guest at “B1.1 Maintenance Authorization in Aviation: Technical Careers and Practical Applications.”
The event aimed to explain the SHGM/EASA B1.1 license’s scope, introduce maintenance practices in electrical and electronic systems and provide accurate information about becoming a licensed technician. It also sought to build awareness of maintenance authorization processes so students could plan their industry development.
Batuhan Cüce explained maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems within the B1.1 license scope, the effects of EASA/SHGM regulations on technician practice, apron and hangar working disciplines, task card reading and critical considerations in authorization systems. Students’ questions on licensing, technical responsibilities, task card applications and maintenance documentation made the event interactive.
Organized by the Technology Transfer Office, Aircraft Technology Program and Technology Transfer Club, the event was planned and implemented by TTO Director Lecturer Muhammed Emin Özmen.
