Elif Berra Gökkır won two silver medals at the 2026 European Youth Archery Championships in Rome. Our national athlete finished second in the U21 women’s recurve and mixed team events.
Elif Berra Gökkır, a second-year Sports Management student at Istanbul Nişantaşı University’s School of Physical Education and Sports and a national athlete, achieved a significant success by winning two silver medals at the 2026 European Youth Archery Championships in Rome, Italy.
Gökkır became European runner-up in the U21 Women’s Recurve category and also won silver in the U21 Mixed Recurve Team category. With her two medals, she successfully represented both Türkiye and Istanbul Nişantaşı University in Europe.
These double silver medals added to Elif Berra Gökkır’s international achievements. Shortly beforehand, she had won silver in the women’s recurve category at Stage 4 of the Archery World Cup in Madrid, Spain, securing Türkiye’s first individual medal in this category in the history of World Cup stages.
Her podium finishes in two different categories once again demonstrated the rise of Turkish archery at youth level.
