İstanbul Nişantaşı University Hosts Primary School Students on the Republic’s 101st Anniversary
Schoolchildren visited our campus for the Republic’s 101st anniversary. Organised with Sarıyer’s education directorate, the programme featured a documentary, art, and games.
A special social responsibility project marking the Republic’s 101st anniversary was held at İstanbul Nişantaşı University NeoTech Campus in partnership with the Sarıyer District Directorate of National Education. Organised by Prof. Dr. Göknur Akçadağ from the History Department in the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, the event welcomed fourth-grade students from Ayazağa Ortaokulu.
Rector Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Komsuoğlu Çıtıpıtıoğlu, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Yeşim Özer and Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Selma Karatepe attended. In her opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Özer wished the children an exciting day. University students recited Atatürk’s Address to the Youth, followed by a documentary on the Republic’s history.
Given painting sets sponsored by Penguen Kitabevi, the children expressed the excitement of 29 October through pictures and enjoyed games in the foyer. The event concluded with books explaining the meaning and significance of the day presented to the students.
