Istanbul Nişantaşı University Students Attend “Ports of the Future” Summer School in France

Ceren Aydın and Alperen Sarıçayır attended the Ports of the Future summer school in France, exploring sustainable ports, digital transformation, and logistics through technical visits and international projects.
In line with its internationalization vision, Istanbul Nişantaşı University continues to expand global learning opportunities for its students. Two students successfully participated in the “Ports of the Future” International Summer School organized by our partner institution Université Le Havre Normandie in France.
Ceren Aydın, a first-year Industrial Engineering student, and Alperen Sarıçayır, a Tourism Management student, attended the international summer school in Le Havre, France, on June 15–19, 2026.
Supported by the French National Research Agency (ANR), the EUNICoast European University Alliance and Erasmus, the program brought students together with international academics and industry representatives to explore current topics including ports of the future, sustainable port management, digital transformation, blockchain technologies, robotics, logistics, global trade, maritime history, climate change and smart port solutions.
Alongside academic sessions, technical visits to Port 2000, the Proxinnov Industrial Robotics Center and important sites reflecting Le Havre’s maritime heritage enabled students to reinforce theoretical knowledge through practical experiences. At the end of the program, they presented projects developed with participants from different countries to an international jury, gaining interdisciplinary and intercultural teamwork experience.
Implemented within the recently developing cooperation between Istanbul Nişantaşı University and Université Le Havre Normandie, this mobility experience made an important contribution to our students’ knowledge and experience in international academic settings. Our university continues to offer new global opportunities by strengthening cooperation with partner universities through student mobility, joint academic activities and research projects.
