Istanbul Nişantaşı University Archers Win National Championships
Our university’s archers won two gold medals and one silver at the 15 July Democracy and National Unity Türkiye Cup in Samsun. Harun Kırmızıtaş and Ömer Faruk Yıldırmış achieved strong individual and team results.
Istanbul Nişantaşı University students made their mark at the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Türkiye Cup (TSP2) in Samsun. Competing in different categories, the athletes won three medals: two golds and one silver.
Harun Kırmızıtaş, a fourth-year Sports Management student at the School of Physical Education and Sports and a national athlete, won silver as runner-up in the Senior Men’s Individual Recurve category. He also won the national championship with the Senior Men’s Recurve Team, completing the event with one gold and one silver medal.
Ömer Faruk Yıldırmış, a third-year Coaching Education student at the School, won gold as national champion with the U21 Men’s Recurve Team.
These results in Samsun once again demonstrated the consistent performance of Istanbul Nişantaşı University athletes in archery and added to the university’s achievements in national championships.
