Our university will showcase academic research and five student projects at TEKNOFEST Southeast in Şanlıurfa on 30 September–4 October 2026. Visitors will experience VR applications, robots, and the award-winning VectorX project.

Istanbul Nişantaşı University is taking part in TEKNOFEST Southeast, to be held at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport from September 30 to October 4, 2026, with our innovative work, academic output and students’ technology-focused projects. At the festival, one of Türkiye’s most important meeting points for science and technology, visitors will discover our academics’ scientific work alongside five student projects. Four will be displayed at our university’s stand, while our award-winning project will feature in TEKNOFEST’s own exhibition area.

Supporting project-based education with technology, innovation and applied learning opportunities, our university aims to bring the work of our academics and students to a wider audience through its participation in TEKNOFEST. Throughout the festival, our stand will feature scientific and technological developments, virtual reality applications, robotics and various activities encouraging visitor participation.

Our Academics’ Scientific Work Will Meet Visitors

Our academics’ scientific research and technology-focused work will also be presented to visitors at TEKNOFEST.

Our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ece Salihoğlu’s “TÜSEB Biosensor Project” and Assistant Professor Elif Aleyna Yazgan’s project, “Development of a Virtual Reality-Based Exercise Intervention Integrating Physiological Feedback for Digital Gaming Addiction,” will be exhibited at the festival.

These studies demonstrate our university’s interdisciplinary research approach combining health sciences and innovative technologies. They will also bring our academic work in scientific research, technology development and societal benefit to a wider audience.

Five Student Projects at TEKNOFEST

Five projects developed by our students will take part in TEKNOFEST. Four will be presented at our university’s stand, while our award-winning student project will be displayed in TEKNOFEST’s own exhibition area. Our students’ work in technology, engineering and innovation will thus reach a broad audience in different parts of the festival.

Our award-winning project to be displayed in TEKNOFEST’s exhibition area is VectorX, developed by our students Serkan Acar and Muhammed Emin Genç. Having won third place in the TEKNOFEST Artificial Intelligence in Aviation Competition, VectorX will be presented as a notable example of our students’ innovative work in artificial intelligence and aviation technologies.

Participation in a national science and technology event will enable our students to put their academic knowledge into practice and share their solutions with different stakeholders. Alongside the four projects at our stand, VectorX’s presence in the TEKNOFEST exhibition area will showcase our students’ success in developing technology and bringing innovative ideas to life across different platforms.

Student-Developed Games to Be Experienced Through VR

Visitors to our stand will have the opportunity to experience our students’ technologies directly, as well as explore the projects on display.

Games developed by our students will be made available to visitors through VR (virtual reality) headsets. Their work in digital content and game development will thus meet participants in an interactive setting.

Through this application, visitors will experience our students’ technological work firsthand and observe how an idea develops from design to implementation.

Our Future and X Robots Will Introduce the University

Our Future and X robots will be among the other technologies interacting with visitors at the festival. They will actively support the presentations at our stand by sharing information about our university and the opportunities we offer.

By incorporating robotics into communication and promotional activities, we will provide visitors with an interactive university experience centered on technology.

Throughout TEKNOFEST, visitors to our stand will also be able to obtain detailed information about our academic programs, educational opportunities, scientific work and technology-focused activities.

Social Activities Will Complement the Science and Technology Experience

Alongside our academic and technological work, our stand will host activities in which visitors can participate actively. Quizzes throughout the festival will encourage participation, and promotional gifts will be offered to visitors.

A dedicated souvenir and photo area will also be created for visitors to capture their TEKNOFEST experience. Our stand will therefore bring together academic output, student projects, virtual reality, robotics and social interaction in one space.

Through our participation in TEKNOFEST, Istanbul Nişantaşı University aims to bring our academics’ and students’ scientific and technological work to a wider audience and contribute to the spread of a culture of research, technology development, innovation and production.
