A protocol with BHT CLINIC Istanbul Tema Hospital will support practical education for healthcare students through clinical placements, professional practice, and internships.

İstanbul Nişantaşı University students will have the opportunity to reinforce theoretical knowledge through practical applications under a partnership with BHT CLINIC İstanbul Tema Hospital.

The signing ceremony at NeoTech Campus was attended by Nişantaşı Education Foundation Founder Dr. Levent Uysal, Hospital Board Chairman Surgeon Dr. Reşat Bahat, Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Komsuoğlu Çıtıpıtıoğlu, hospital management and university academics.

Dr. Levent Uysal emphasised that the two institutions would undertake diverse projects and that their combined strength would benefit all involved on national and international platforms.

Surgeon Dr. Reşat Bahat said previous experience with university affiliations led him to believe the partnership would offer an excellent path forward.

He explained that hospitals had previously worked using existing scientific knowledge without contributing to science. Through this partnership, the hospital would contribute to science and the faculty while learning from the faculty, science and academia.

Bahat stated that the partnership created substantial value and that the hospital and university communities would develop joint projects in shared and different fields.

Under the protocol, students from the Faculty of Medicine in particular, as well as Dentistry, Health Sciences and the Vocational School of Health Services, will be able to undertake intern training, workplace professional practice and internships at the hospital.

This will enable students to reinforce theory through practice. Both institutions aim to develop the partnership further.
