BISTLAB Opens at Istanbul Nişantaşı University
BISTLAB, opened at NeoTech Campus, supports financial literacy and practical professional training. With capacity for 20 students and one instructor, the laboratory will use simulations for financial analysis, investment strategies, and risk management.
Financial Literacy and Facilities for Practical Professional Training
The Stock Exchange Practice and Financial Simulation Laboratory (BISTLAB) opened at Istanbul Nişantaşı University’s NeoTech Campus to improve financial literacy and provide practical experience in economics. The ceremony was attended by Nişantaşı Education Foundation Founder Dr. Levent Uysal, Rector Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Komsuoğlu Çıtıpıtıoğlu, Borsa Istanbul representatives, Asst. Prof. Dr. Taşkın Subaşı, academic and administrative staff and students.
The laboratory enables students to reinforce theory through practice in financial analysis, investment strategies and risk management. Finance training and seminars will use Borsa Istanbul’s BIST SIMULATION module and Matriks software. With capacity for 20 students and one instructor, the laboratory will provide market experience through virtual financial transactions.
Providing in-depth financial knowledge, the laboratory aims to prepare students to enter professional life with stronger competencies. It will also contribute to research and innovation alongside practical education. BISTLAB represents an important step towards developing industry skills and contributing to the higher education vision.
Through projects supporting practical education, Istanbul Nişantaşı University continues combining theoretical and practical knowledge to prepare graduates for professional life.
