Psychological Awareness and Mental Health in Human Relationships
Istanbul Nişantaşı University hosted an event examining the psychological and social dimensions of modern relationships. Clinical Psychologist Tuna Tüner met students for a talk entitled “On Human Relationships,” offering important assessments of individuality, loneliness, attachment and relationship dynamics.
Tüner stated that increasing individualism and the pursuit of freedom have coincided with declining tendencies towards long-term relationships and starting families, creating various psychological effects at both individual and societal levels.
The discussion also addressed common problems in modern relationships, how couples cope with them and the effects of early attachment experiences on relationships.
Attracting strong interest, the talk offered participants new perspectives for evaluating relationships in healthier, more informed ways.
