International Research Cooperation and Environmental Sustainability
The RADIO (Research & Innovative Development International Offices) Project, supported by the EU Erasmus Capacity Building in Higher Education Program with Istanbul Nişantaşı University as a consortium partner, held its kick-off meeting. Participants included Prof. Dr. Selçuk Paker from our Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department and Projects Consultant Başak Tüzün, alongside representatives from Algeria’s University of Science and Technology Houari Boumediene (project leader) and Abdelhamid Ibn Badis Mostaganem University, Egypt’s Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport and German University in Cairo, and France’s University of Pau. The 36-month project aims to expand research cooperation between universities in Europe and the Mediterranean, encourage interdisciplinary studies and strengthen international academic partnerships.
Istanbul Nişantaşı University and the University of Pau will support the establishment of RADIO International Research Offices at Mediterranean universities and strengthen capacity in research and technology management. Our university will design intensive training programs and workshops for academics and researchers to support interdisciplinary work in environmental sustainability, innovative technologies and digital transformation. It will also organize training-of-trainers programs and provide technical support for establishing RADIO Laboratories. By improving Mediterranean universities’ research capacity, RADIO will help them develop stronger academic and scientific ties with European higher education institutions.
