Move for Good was held with LÖSEV and 240 students, combining practical event management with volunteering and awareness of stray animals’ needs.
“Move for Good” Supports Volunteering and Social Participation
Istanbul Nişantaşı University’s School of Physical Education and Sports Sports Management Program held “Move for Good” within the Event Management in Sports course to increase social participation and strengthen social responsibility.
Organized through the Sports Management Program’s civil society partnership with LÖSEV, the event brought together 240 students. At the end of the 45-minute activity, students learned about LÖSEV’s work, gained awareness of volunteering and were invited to take part in voluntary activities.
Also serving as a vocational education activity, the event enabled students to connect their academic knowledge of event management with practical work focused on social responsibility and volunteering.
Cat food prepared for stray cats was distributed to participants to raise awareness of stray animals’ needs. The event thus developed awareness of volunteering and social participation alongside sensitivity to different social and environmental responsibilities.
