Works by renowned composers including Johann Sebastian Bach, İsmail Baha Sürelsan, Eric Satie and Astor Piazzola presented outstanding examples of our cultural heritage and modern music.

The ney’s tranquil sound combined with the piano to unite Western music’s harmonic language with Turkish music’s powerful motifs.

The piano, one of Western music’s most important instruments, has a long history, largely completed its development in the 1770s and can integrate into all kinds of music through its distinctive tone. The ney, whose use dates to around 3000 BC according to findings, moves listeners with its serene sound. Together they created a unique recital. Bringing together outstanding Eastern and Western works, the concert presented fine examples of cultural heritage and modern music and offered a special opportunity to celebrate our cultural richness as well as enjoy music.

Works by Johann Sebastian Bach, İsmail Baha Sürelsan, Eric Satie and Astor Piazzola again highlighted cultural heritage and modern music. Combining the ney’s tranquil sound with the piano united Western harmonies and Turkish motifs. Arranged by Güneş Yakartepe, the repertoire reaffirmed music’s power to transcend borders and Türkiye’s role as a cultural bridge.
