Cultural Heritage and Creative Design in Art Education
The 17th Pera Costume Competition organized by Pera Fine Arts High School attracted great interest, showcasing inspired designs. It was a privilege to participate as a jury member, and students’ original designs combining artistic creativity with architecture once again impressed.
Held under a different theme each year, this year’s event featured artistic designs inspired by iconic architectural structures worldwide. Students interpreted architectural elements from different cultures through original perspectives, reflecting historical and cultural values in their work. The theme enabled them to explore world cultures artistically and analyze architectural elements in detail.
The jury considered creative integration of architectural elements, technical details, aesthetic coherence and cultural harmony. Each work successfully reflected its source country’s architecture while being enriched by students’ interpretations. Demonstrating artistic talent, the works received considerable appreciation for their aesthetics and technique.
We warmly congratulate the school management, guiding teachers and all participating students. Held continuously for 17 years, the event once again demonstrated the school’s commitment to art and cultural heritage. Such events contribute significantly to increasing interest in art and encouraging young talent.
