SIMtoCARE Virtual Reality Simulation Unit

Our Faculty of Dentistry began training students and academics with SIMtoCARE virtual reality simulation, supporting preclinical skills and three-dimensional learning.
Digital technology plays an increasingly important role in dental students’ education, with work on its application across all areas progressing rapidly.
Although virtual reality cannot currently fully replace traditional dental learning models, it provides opportunities to deepen learning and develop three-dimensional understanding.
The spread of digital teaching enables learning to become an active experience across fields, while digital technology brings extraordinary advances in time, cost and technical precision to dental practice.
İstanbul Nişantaşı University Faculty of Dentistry has taken a step ahead among foundation universities by introducing this training. We shared the excitement of delivering a second training session to faculty members and the first to students.
Provided before clinical practice, this training will prepare students confidently for clinical work and ensure education aligned with contemporary requirements and international standards.
The SIMtoCARE virtual reality simulation unit was selected because it combines numerous applications, can be enhanced through continuous updates and is easy to use.
