The “Once Again, from Istanbul to Tashkent: Traditional Turkish Arts Exhibition” opened to art enthusiasts with a ceremony. The exhibition was organized in partnership with Istanbul Nişantaşı University, in cooperation with the Association for the Preservation and Sustenance of Traditional Handicrafts (GESKODER) and the Kamaleddin Behzad Museum of Oriental Miniature Art of the Uzbekistan Academy of Arts.
The exhibition was opened by illumination and miniature artist and instructor Jale Yavuz, GESKODER President Ayşegül Çebi, Chief Scientific Secretary Abidjanova Feruza and Museum Director Gulabza Qarshıyeva of the Kamaleddin Behzad Miniature Art Museum of the Uzbekistan Academy of Arts, and Dr. Nâlân Beken.
In her opening address, Jale Yavuz emphasized that the exhibition, featuring illumination, miniature and bookbinding works meticulously prepared by 20 artists, goes beyond an art exhibition. It strengthens intercultural dialogue between Türkiye and Uzbekistan, highlights their shared cultural heritage and represents an important step towards preserving traditional arts.
