Practice, public evidence and monitoring
Scope and practice
Unique students receiving aid because of financial hardship and their share of total enrolment. The Scholarship Directive provides for committee-assessed needs-based aid when students document unexpected financial hardship.
Public evidence and examples
Scholarship Directive — needs-based aid
Monitoring and evidence boundary
A deduplicated annual recipient count and the matching enrolment denominator from 1.2.1 are required. Proposed calculation: students receiving needs-based aid / total enrolled students × 100. A merit scholarship alone does not demonstrate low income.
