SDG 12 · Indicator 12.2.6

Minimising disposable items

The university’s scrap directive requires assessment of whether repair is economical and whether an item can be used in another unit before it is classified as scrap. This brings service life and reuse into the decision process.

The Sustainable Development Goals 2024 Report discusses digital documents, electronic signatures and archiving in relation to reduced resource use. A zero-waste kitchen guest session in the Gastronomy and Sustainability course also addressed reducing food waste and making use of resources in recipe development.

These examples support resource efficiency and waste-prevention awareness. They are not presented as verification of a specific reduction policy or consumption outcome for disposable cups, cutlery, plates or similar products.
