Community Health and Well-being Activities

Oral Health Activity for Children

Fifth-year dentistry students from İstanbul Nişantaşı University supported the “Birbirimizden Sorumluyuz” project held at Semiha Şakir Children’s Home on 3 December 2025. As part of this social responsibility initiative developed by high school students, children received practical guidance on correct toothbrushing habits.

With support from sponsoring companies, children received toothbrushes and toothpaste. Games and interactive activities combined health information with social participation. The activity provided an example of university students volunteering to bring health knowledge to children beyond the campus.

Sharing Brain Health Knowledge with the Community

The “Beynin Tazelenme Yolculuğu” event, organised by the Tazelenme University Coordination Office, was held at İstanbul Nişantaşı University on 12 December 2025. The event invited all interested individuals. Neuroscience specialist Dr Cemre Hoşcan Gökber shared information on the brain’s capacity for renewal, neuroplasticity and mental renewal processes.

Participants explored scientific approaches to supporting brain health and methods applicable in daily life, and exchanged questions and views with the expert. Within a lifelong learning framework, the event supported the sharing of health and well-being knowledge across different age groups.
