2nd Sustainability Summit

Back to all events

The event was organized to address the economic, social, and environmental dimensions of sustainable development from a holistic perspective, bringing together academics from different disciplines to discuss the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Structured around three sessions, the event covered a wide range of sustainability-related issues. Poverty and hunger indicators were examined from both global and national perspectives, alongside discussions on good health and well-being, gender equality, quality education, decent work and economic growth, and sustainable cities and communities. The environmental and institutional dimensions of sustainability were also explored through presentations focusing on climate action, life below water, and peace, justice, and strong institutions.

Through presentations delivered by academics with expertise in their respective fields, the event aimed to raise awareness of the interconnected dimensions of sustainable development and encourage participants to approach global challenges from an interdisciplinary perspective. It also provided a platform for discussing the local and national implications of the Sustainable Development Goals and strengthening academic knowledge-sharing in support of a more sustainable future.
