Back to all events

The congress on 18–19 December 2025 addressed digitalisation and energy demand, renewable energy, carbon emissions and green finance.

The 3rd International Energy Congress was held on 18–19 December 2025 through collaboration between Istanbul Nişantaşı University and the University of Johannesburg. Its discussions addressed the growing energy needs of artificial intelligence and data centres, the environmental effects of digital infrastructure and sustainable energy transitions.

The abstract proceedings cover renewable energy management, machine-learning forecasts of electricity demand, energy consumption and environmental pollution, green finance and governance. Studies on renewable energy education and energy justice also address the social dimensions of technological change.

The congress outputs were compiled in an open-access abstract proceedings book published by INUPRESS. The contributions and joint organising committee document academic knowledge exchange on energy and climate.
