Net-Zero Target in the Plan Document
Section 1.1 of our university’s official Climate Action Plan document sets a target of reaching net-zero emissions by 2053. The document uses a 2024–2053 planning horizon. This period is not interpreted as the plan’s adoption or effective date.

Emission Scopes
Section 2.2 addresses direct emissions under Scope 1, indirect emissions from purchased energy under Scope 2, and travel, procurement, waste and other indirect sources under Scope 3. A written target does not establish that carbon neutrality has been achieved across these scopes.
