Current Approaches to Hearing Aids: Fitting Training and Earmoulds
Audiometry Programme students met industry representatives to discuss hearing aid applications and earmoulds.
Audiologists Serhat Önkol, Sudenur Ekim and Umut Uysal from Sovona Group met with students at the “Industry Meeting – Current Approaches to Hearing Aids: Fitting Training and Earmoulds” event, organised within the Audiometry Programme’s Guest in the Classroom series at Istanbul Nişantaşı University’s Vocational School of Health Services. The event addressed current hearing-aid fitting approaches, individualised amplification strategies and earmould impression techniques, providing both theoretical knowledge and practical insights for clinical application.
The training, featuring expert guests Serhat Önkol, Sude Nur Ekim and Umut Uysal and moderated by Cihan Aslan, aimed to develop students’ professional knowledge and skills, raise awareness of current audiological practices and improve clinical competence. Planned as part of the programme’s quality improvement work, the event helped strengthen practice-based teaching and learning.
