Opticianry – Guest Burcu Nida Özdemir
Opticianry students met with optical news editor Burcu Nida Özdemir for a talk on the industry and professional ethics.
As part of a classroom event in the Opticianry Programme, we were pleased to host optical news editor Burcu Nida Özdemir, who has carried out valuable work in her field. We held a comprehensive and informative discussion on the optical industry, professional ethics, publishing processes and current industry developments. Ms Özdemir’s sharing of knowledge and experience with our students made a valuable contribution to integrating theoretical knowledge with practical experience. With students’ active participation, this interactive session significantly supported their professional awareness and broadened their career perspectives.
The programme also included a small gift raffle to motivate students and reinforce their interest. This activity strengthened the dynamic nature of the course and created a positive atmosphere of interaction among participants.
We thank Burcu Nida Özdemir for her contributions and hope to continue similar events, recognising the value such academic and industry gatherings bring to our students’ development.
